Getting Here By Car or Plane
Driving to Johnson City or Kingsport is expedited by interstate highways. Interstate 81 is the north/south artery while Interstate 26 is the east/west artery. However, don't take these directions too literally! Remember that in east Tennessee few roads follow a straight line in any direction. These two interstate highways intersect just a few miles from either Johnson City or Kingsport.
